Modern Animals Are Evolutionary Junkyards

Speaker: Kasper Bo Sørensen.
This is the audio recording of the book I made as a side project in my university studies.

If you look at modern animals, dear listener, you will see on close examination that they contain remanences of the past. Did you know, for instance, that whales have hips, even though they don’t have any legs, or did you know that manatees, also called sea cows, have toenails without having any feet?
Evolution does not clean up after itself, which is apparent in modern animals that have become junkyards for body parts of their ancestors, and believe it or not, but humans are not excluded from this. This book looks into some of these body parts and investigate if they still have any use, with additional fun animal facts and questions on each topic.
